As of this morning Hurricane Jova continues to be the main story in the Eastern Pacific. This system has become a major hurricane and will likely impact MX as a category 3 or higher storm. Landfall is expected as soon as Tuesday northwest of Punta San Telmo.

Meanwhile tropical storm Irwin, also in the East Pacific, is not an immediate land threat but will continue eastward in the general direction of MX, and Central America. In the Atlantic the storm system over FL is not likely to develop into a sub-tropical or tropical cyclone at this time.
