In the Atlantic Philippe still persists and is nearing hurricane strength. The system may become a hurricane today as it continues northeastward in the middle of the Atlantic. It is not a threat to land at this time.

In the East Pacific a pair of tropical depressions have developed overnight. These systems are off the MX Coast. TD 10-E may become a hurricane in time and threaten MX early next week. TD 11-E lies to its west and is not expected to be an immediate land threat. That system should be named a tropical storm sometime today (along with 10-E).
